Waiting and working

Today I am anxiously waiting to hear about our house.  My future.  Will I move into my new home soon or not?  I needed to occupy myself and here is today’s activity of choice: Ruby’s quilt (that I have been ignoring for far too long).  Maybe I will finish it this week?  Oh please, God show me mercy and answer my prayers soon!

  1. It’s too bad we don’t live in Canada anymore! You and I could work on our quilts together! You probably know a lot more than I do! I started a King+ size quilt this summer (for our bed, which is only queen size but has a pillowtop mattress that no blankets ever seem to cover adequetely!)and peicing it together was super fun and fast (I love picking out colors and fabrics-I could make dozens of quilts if that was all there was to it!)…but now I have to hand stitch/Quilt the top! The quilt is way too big to do in my archaic sewing machine (it used to be my Mother-in-laws). And I thought it would be cool to put a lot of floral designs all over…anyway I have been working (kind of) on it for the last 6 months and it’s proabably not even half done! Ack!! Hand quilting is just so tedious!

    • That’s great that you’ve been quilting! I’m impressed you’re undertaking hand quilting! I’ve always wanted to try. I actually like hand-sewing better! How do you do it? In a hoop or something? I’d love to see it, you should post pics on your blog.
